Welcome to the TIF-Infrastructure Subcommittee Website

TIF-I is a subcommittee of the Technology Infrastructure Forum (TIF).

Next Meeting

Tuesday, January, 17 2012. 2 PM - 3:30 PM.
2005 PES

Agenda:

2:00 PM: Campus Email Updates

Gabe Youtsey will pontificate on the upcoming campus email changes and discuss the uConnect rollout beginning at the end of February (don't ask, just attend).

Sometime after: EDMS Discussion

I'm working on collecting feedback from Adman and various areas on what might be expected in an "EDMS" solution for academic departments, how it might be integrated into existing and new document management/workflow systems, and feed into existing EDMS systems as appropriate (Student Services, Accounting, etc). This is a discussion, not an update of reality. While I definitely have items to contribute, I'd appreciate feedback from the group.

Sometime after that: Possibly a Bigfix/Tivoli Endpoint Manager update

A document is being devised to present to campus with potential concerns and needs over a campus-wide Bigfix rollout. This is a tentative topic as this is still being worked on.

Mobile Application Development

This is a standing topic at the TIF-I and will get screen time as interest allows. Includes mobile phone/pad apps as well as mobile-accessible websites.

Our meetings are open to the campus technical community, and we welcome and encourage your participation.  There will be a short primer for educational purposes on technologies relevant to the meeting.  I'd welcome anyone to the meeting who has an interest in learning, listening, and/or contributing.
